A couple of weekends back I took my Camelbak Better Bottle along when I went hiking with my kids and decided to share a review. I’m happy to report the design is great, I had it hooked onto my belt with a carabiner clip and it wasn’t intrusive at all.
I was also impressed by the no spill design, not a drop of water was spilt when my son knocked my bottle off the picnic table by mistake. The shell also seems to be quite durable. It can scratch but its made out of shatterproof lexan polycarbonate so it’s impact resistant.

Those who are health conscious will appreciate Camelbak’s new manufacturing standards that ensure their water bottles are free of the dangerous chemical BPA also known as bisphenol A. This chemical is used in the manufacturing industry to harden plastic. Traces of BHA which get leeched into drinking water cause hormonal disturbances in the body among a long list of other health concerns.

A wide variety of Camelbak water bottles can be found online. At the camping surplus store that I frequent they only stock 3 models of Camelbak bottles. Over 8 models and 75 designs can be found in online stores.
I decided to purchase the 750ml Camelbak Classic water bottle because it suits my needs best. The stainless steel Camelbak bottle caught my eye but was running over double the cost of the classic. I may pick one up in the future if it goes on sale.
What impressed me most about my Camelbak water bottle was that it encourages water consumption. It’s so easy to drink from I found myself drinking much more water than I ever did from a regular bottle.
As an avid cyclist, hiker and outdoorsman I’ve been through many different water bottles and the Camelbak Better Bottle is the best.

I couldn’t be happier with my bottle. In fact I’e bought many of them for friends and family as gifts and I highly recommend this the Camelbak brand to everyone.
I like the Camelbak brand a lot. I always go with them for my bottles and hydration packs. I have a few bottles from years back that are still in very good condition, my only complaint is that the bottles aren’t very scratch resistant. It would be cool if they added some kind of added protection to the exterior of the bottles.
My Camelbak bottle has lasted me forever and the plastic is still in great shape. The main bottle gets small scratches on its body over time but the flexible plastics on the drinking spout stay supple and fresh even after years and years of constant use and abuse. This is a fantastic bottle for the price.
